We worked on ground tension, standing posture, core engagement, and more. Tricia is very attentive to me and has a keen eye on dysfunctional movement patterns that I default to and provides feedback and cues that really help me to engage my body better. After each session, I feel much more connected and engaged with my body and am very thankful. I’m excited for our next sessions and am thankful for discovering Functional Patterns Tucker Reiley April 28, 2019 at 8:46 am - Reply I came to Tricia after a long period of interest in Functional Patterns. I was fortunate to reach out at a time where Tricia was running a 3-week special. The three sessions were collectively a great experience and an insightful glimpse into what FP techniques can do for me. I will be back, and with Tricia’s collaborative problem-solving approach I can’t wait to see how my body moves as it becomes more connected. We come away with new connections and new understanding every time. Tricia has a great balance of clear motivation and instruction paired with compassionate understanding. She is skilled in applying Functional Patterns methodology to a difficult case involving scoliosis, endocrine disorder, motor planning problems, and cognitive deficits. Tricia has the ability to problem solve on the spot and tailor the exercises to what the situation dictates. Her experience with coaching, knowledge of Functional Patterns, and her calm, respectful demeanor make her an exceptional practitioner. Tricia is a very approachable, knowledgeable and experienced practitioner and the training we had together was reflective of these qualities and more. If you have any issues with your biomechanics, injuries or a wish to feel rejuvenated, Functional Patterns is the path you should take. If you’re in Seattle, Tricia is the person to see. I’m looking forward to training again with Tricia when I return to Seattle. I have struggled with chronic neck and shoulder pain for well over a decade and tried all sorts of stuff, and also trained with a different type of corrective exercise specialist. Nothing even comes close to the FP methodology for truly understanding how my body should move through dynamic movements as an integrated unit, with tensegrity. Tricia is relentless and disciplined as a trainer. She squeezes as much value out of a 90 minute session as possible and provides me with continuous guidance and feedback to help me learn the movements. She is a true professional and an excellent teacher. I am experiencing dramatic improvements for the first time ever, and while I still have a ways to go, I am moving with better mechanics than I ever have! I recommend her without hesitation, and plan to train with her as long as I can. Kim Campbell August 12, 2019 at 1:47 pm - Reply I have been working with Tricia for a couple of months now and I cannot express how much working with her has changed my daily life. I’m a 42yr old suffering from aggressive Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, and Stenosis of the spine, I had previously been prescribed three different types of physical therapy from my specialist, even aquatic therapy, and nothing worked. Sessions with her reduced pain, swelling, joint inflammation, and increased my mobility, strength and stamina. I immediately gained muscle mass and regained the energy I once had to function throughout the day. After working with Tricia I have more than my mobility back, I have a functional life with the ability to walk long distances and even run, cook, carry groceries etc., and enjoy physical outdoor activities with my family again. I highly recommend Tricia for anyone who needs any type of training, treatment or physical therapy.
